Carl Escamilla Walsh

I went to Lake Forest College, where I (double) majored in Math and Physics. Then, off I went to grad school at UIUC, where I ultimately got an MS in Math and another in Theoretical Mechanics. For some years thereafter, I was teaching in a private high school; at the end of the '90s, I went back to the University of Illinois, where I obrained a law degree and worked in Chicago as an attorney in the insurance lobbying industry. In recent years I have been teaching math and physics again, now in Texas. I am married to a sterling woman who is a project manager at Chevron.
No children, I regret to say.

My friends and I--Danny Aronson & Steve Howarth--my other two 'musketeers'--once went smelt fishing down by the lake and came back to his house in Glencoe in the back of which was a ravine. The north shore at night--that wooded atmosphere--that is what stays with one.

We were also an 'adjunct' group to the Lords of Flatcourt, a cheerleading group who would sit in the stands of basketball games and make noise, essentially. We even had our own 'uniform' t-shirts.
